Alexandra Shulman’s Ode To Joy
Trading a demanding career for the less frenetic life of a writer gave Shulman the space to consider what brings her true joy. Small pleasures and precious rituals became the inspiration for her new book, and here she shares the daily delights she can’t do without…
A Note From Alexandra
"I work at home now after editing British Vogue for 25 years, and the things I most enjoy or want to own are things that make my life more pleasant on a daily basis. I’ve just published a new book, Black Coffee and Red Lipstick – Notes On Living which is very much about the small things in life. I love food and drink and beautiful objects, so coffee-making apparatus, cookbooks, good olive oil and lovely glasses are must-haves. But getting dressed is also a pleasure – in my opinion you can never have enough clothes or beauty products."
